Summer 2013 'To-Do' List

I swear by 'To-Do' lists.

I make lists for everything: school, shopping, errands.

There is no better feeling than accomplishing everything on a list.
They make sure you stay on track and complete everything that needs to be done.
In this case, I've made a summer 'to-do' list of everything I want to do!

Summer officially starts for me Wednesday after school.
However in my mind it has started weeks ago.
I can't wait to have few cares, spend time with friends, and finally get some sleep!
I'm hoping to make this summer really great!

Spring Shoes

I can't wait to put away my boots and start wearing shoes that show off my pedicure!

In New Jersey, it's warm one day, then cold the next.

I always find the Spring time the trickiest for deciding on the right time to rotate out all the bulky sweaters and in place hang up sundresses and shorts.

There have been so many different shoe trends for Spring this year.  

Being on a budget, it's impossible to try them all.

So I've comprised a little shopping guide of shoe tends below for easy access to this Springs hottest shoe styles.

For me, I'll definitely be picking out some printed and metallic shoes!

Which trend is your favorite?

Sneaker Wedge - While this shoe is not for everyone, they are definitely everywhere right now!  I'm not sure that I'm adventurous enough to try out this trend, but if I did try them out, I'd probably pair them with a skinny jean, white tee, and maybe a light utility jacket for an effortless, sporty look.

Boat Shoes - It might it just be because I'm a huge Sperry lover, but it seems that Sperrys have invaded every big department store now.  From Nordstrom to Bloomingdales, these have become extremely trendy.

Printed - Forget those plain sandals or wedges you have.  Why not try something a little more fun?  These shoes will make a statement with whatever outfit you wear.

Neon - There is nothing neutral about these hues.  The brighter, the better.  These are perfect for adding that pop of color you want for your spring outfit.

Embellished - Whether they be studded or spiked, embellished shoes add the perfect amount of edge to any outfit.

Metallic - One tip I like to use when styling metallics is to treat them like neutrals!  They go with pretty much anything.

Spring Ahead {Spring 2013 Shopping List}

With a mini snowstorm Friday and 50 degree weekend weather, mother nature seems confused.

March is usually the month where the temperature rises, the sun shines, and birds chirp.

All I can dream about right now is Spring break and warmer weather.

I'm so tired of wearing sweaters and boots. (Never thought I would say that!)

I just want to wear light tops and sandals that show off my pedicure!

While I can't control the weather, I can dream...and shop!

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is recovering from ringing in the New Year last night!

Can you believe 2012 is over?  I for sure can't.  So much has changed this past year - both good and bad.

I'm really looking forward to starting a new year.  I have a really good feeling about this year; I think it's going to be amazing {13 is my lucky number!}. Honestly this new year couldn't have come at a better time.  I love the start of the new year just because I feel like it's the perfect opportunity to set new goals, get back on track, and just kind of start over.

This year, my resolutions are to study hard, be healthier, and just remember to have fun.

How I'm going to accomplish those, I'm not sure.  But I'm excited to tackle them.

Five Things I'm Looking Forward to in 2013

1. Barcelona - I'm spending the summer in Spain to study international business and spanish and I'm really excited!  I'm hoping it will be an incredible experience!

2. Senior Year of High School - I can't believe at the end of this year I'll be starting my last year of high school!

3. Applying to colleges - of course comes along with senior year, it should be a really exciting process!

4. Turning 18 - I'll be a legal adult by the end of the year - crazy!

5. Lastly, lots of road trips - with getting my license recently, I definitely know I'll be creating so many memories with my friends
