With tomorrow being the last day of school before the winter break, I'm already thinking of all the things I want to do over vacation.  Movies, family, shopping, and friends are just some of the activities on my list.  While I love wearing Uggs and sweats at home, I love throwing on sweaters when going out during the winter.  I put together some outfits below of some things that I would wear for various activities.

Putting up the tree

Henri Bendel aka the best place on Earth

Yesterday I spent the day in the city with my best friend shopping & walking around the city.  I absolutely love the city this time of year.  The weather is perfect and the few Christmas decorations are beautiful!  I can't wait until after Thanksgiving to see more go up!  The christmas tree in Rockerfeller center was put up yesterday and it was, as always, something fun to see.  We also got a chance to see some of the Veteran’s day parade on Fifth Avenue.
I love wearing big chunky sweaters with leggings and boots during the Fall/Winter seasons.  It’s my go to outfit.  I recently bought this sweater at Century 21 and love the neck.  I usually hate turtlenecks and cowl necks, however I really like this one.  It was perfect for the chilly weather yesterday.

Have a great week!

Blackout in October

 sweater trouvĂ© leggings trouvĂ©
headband henri bendel

I was so excited to finally have the chance to blog this weekend since my soccer season is now over and I finally have some free time...however then we lost power due to the 'snowstorm' here in New Jersey. It was luckily restored today! When I first heard we were going to get some snow I thought it would just be a few flurries, but we got a decent amount of snow.  Powerlines and trees are down all over town and resulted in no school tomorrow!  It's so crazy since it isn't even halloween yet!
Anyway, I love how yesterday was a chance to try out some new goodies from Nordstrom!  I bought this sweater and these leggings when they had their anniversary sale and it was finally cold enough yesterday to wear them.  I love big, chunky sweaters in the wintertime with leggings and jeans.  I'm really into patterns for this fall/winter instead of dark solids like previous years.  And I absolutely love the leggings!  The front is a nylon/faux-leather material while the back is a comfy, warm fabric.

Hope everyone who was affected by the snow is safe!
Have a Happy Halloween!

Look For Less: Nicky Hilton

I am completely in love with the outfit Nicky Hilton was seen wearing out in Beverly Hills.  It's casual, yet put put together in a way you wouldn't expect.  I love the mix of colors and unexpected prints.  I think this outfit is perfect while the weather is still warm out and for the transitioning months!
Here's how to get the look for less:

Top - Forever 21
Jacket - Old Navy
Sunglasses - Bleudame
Ring - Forever 21
Bracelet - Forever 21
Shoes - Kohls
Nail polish - Opi
