Kate Middleton's Gold Metal Worthy Olympic Looks

Kate Middleton has become a huge style icon since her marriage to Prince William.  She always seems to look effortlessly chic and put-together.
I have particularly been loving her looks for the Olympics these past few days.  She pulls off both sophisticated and casual wear so well.
Oh the things I would do to be a princess.
Here are a few of my favorite outfits that she has worn this past week!

Thursday July 26th
I love how simple and casual this outfit is.  Kate wore a white collared Adidas polo with cobalt blue Zara jeans and Stuart Weitzman cork wedges.  A perfect way to start the Olympic games!

Friday July 27th
{photo}
Kate wore a Christopher Kane coatdress for the opening ceremony and to the Buckingham Palace reception.  I love how she can go from jeans and a tee to looking like a Princess!

Monday July 30th
Kate joined the royal family to watch Zara Phillips, the Queen's granddaughter, in the equestrian cross country event.  My favorite part of her outfit are her Stuart Weitzman cork wedges - they are adorable!  She was seen wearing these at the Torch Relay event on Friday as well.

Kate wore this grey Roksanda Illinic dress in attendance to the U.K.'s Creative Industries Reception.  The one thing I love about Kate is that she isn't afraid to wear the same thing twice.  She wore this dress last summer when she visited the US!

What do you think of Kate's Olympic games style?

Sunday Snapshot [7.29.12]

I returned home from Las Vegas late Friday night and I can't be happier to be home!  I loved exploring the city and spending time with my family but I defiantly missed my pets and my bed!
We stayed at the Bellagio hotel for a week and took a road trip to Los Angeles for a day. Las Vegas was a lot of fun and the views on our way to California were beautiful.  I can't wait to go back to California one day soon!
The view from our hotel room at the Bellagio.

Gondola rides and shopping in The Venetian.

The famous Beverly Hills Sign.

And the even more famous Hollywood sign.

Talking about famous things, seeing Mario Lopez at The Grove was definitely a highlight of my trip!

First In-n-Out experience was a success!

The beautiful fountain show at the Bellagio.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Tarte Slate Deluxe Primer Trio Review

Hi everyone!

Recently I picked up the Tarte Slate Deluxe Primer Trio at Sephora and really have been loving the products included!  It comes with two face primers and an eyeshadow primer. My favorite of the three is the Clean Slate Poreless 12-Hour Perfecting Primer (purple).  It works really well in smoothing out my skin and minimizing pores.  It also kept my foundation on all day.
In addition to the Clean Slate Poreless primer, the Clean Slate Flawless primer (brown) and Clean Slate 360 Creaseless primer (white) were also part of this trio.  I like the Flawless primer as well, but not as much as the Poreless primer.  It's more of a brighting primer, but I didn't really notice a difference in the performance between the two.
Lastly, the Creaseless primer works in ensuring that your eyeshadow lasts all day/all night.  My least favorite of the three, but still a pretty good product.  I do happen to like the Urban Decay Primer Potion better.

Have you ever tried any of these products?

Carry-On Essentials

Happy Friday (almost Saturday)!
Sorry for late posting today!

I'm leaving early Sunday morning to Las Vegas for my uncle's 70th birthday so I've been trying to get everything done before I leave. I didn't realize how much cleaning and work I had to do!
I'm pretty much packed and thought I would share with you my carry-on essentials!

Bag full of electronics and chargers

Plus some candy & snacks (:

July Birchbox [BB x Glamour]

On Tuesday I received my July Birchbox!
Basically, Birchbox is a $10 monthly subscription filled with beauty samples.  This month Birchbox teamed up with Glamour magazine and put together a box that focuses on the five senses.  Each product fit into either see, touch, feel, hear, or smell.  I really love the concept!  Here is what I received in my July box!

I have a few of these lip glazes that I bought from Sephora, but I haven't bought any in awhile because they can be pricy at $22 for one.  However Birchbox has a set of three for only $12!  I am defiantly going to be purchasing these!  The color I received is not one that I usually go for, but I actually really like it!

I'm not a shimmery bronzer person at all, but the color of this one is gorgeous!  To apply it I just took a fluffy brush and dusted it on my cheekbones and temples and did a great job of highlighting them.

I used this last night and my hair now is incredibly soft!  I've used deep conditioning treatments before but never a hair mask.  The results were better then I thought they would be!  The price of this is a little more than I usually spend on hair products, so I'm going to try to find something similar at the drugstore.

Hello is a summery scent containing notes of meyer lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, forsythia, plumeria, verbena, vanilla and musk.  I love it!  Anything with vanilla and musk gets me!  They company has a really cute story and they are eco-friendly.  I think I will be purchasing this size one to keep in my purse!

Lifestyle Extras:
A pair of earbuds for hear
This couldn't have come at a better time!  I am always losing earphones and these are so pretty - neon green and pink!

and

LaraBar in Bananas Foster for taste
I don't like bananas so I gave this treat to my mom.  She said it was just okay.

What beauty products have you been loving?

Workin It Out

I am always looking for new ways to work in a work out in my daily day.  I get bored of doing the same kind of exercise quickly.  Other than going to the gym on a regular basis, I try doing fitness videos from Youtube as often as I can.  So today I wanted to share my favorite videos and workouts with you!

I love the blogilates videos!  Cassey puts up workouts with some of todays hottest songs making them fun to work out to.  She is super upbeat and encouraging throughout the whole workout.

Tone It Up is my other favorite fitness related youtube channel.  Karena and Katrina are seriously the sweetest girls!  I always feel like I'm working out with my best friends when following their videos.

Lastly, cardio kickboxing has to be my favorite form of exercising.  It's great for letting out anger and is gives you an all over workout!  I take a class at my gym every week but I love doing it at home too! Just search 'cardio kickboxing' on youtube and a bunch of videos should pop up!

How do you like to exercise?

Beach Reads 2012

I hope everyone had a great holiday!  I spent my Fourth with family just relaxing and BBQing at home.  There is nothing better than nice weather and nice company for a holiday.
Anyway, today I wanted to share my favorite books to read during the summer.  I always, always have at least three books plus magazines in my beach bag.  I am a huge reader!  During the summer I gravitate more towards quick reads.  I have a Kindle and I swear, use it everyday.  I'm always purchasing more books on it.
So if you are looking for some book recommendations, here are mine!

L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad
Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad
Sugar and Spice by Lauren Conrad
The Fame Game by Lauren Conrad
The Hills used to be my absolute favorite show on TV (I have every season on DVD!) and Lauren Conrad was definitely my favorite.  Her books are about two friends who are casted on a reality TV show that takes place in LA - sound familiar?  They are a fun, quick read - perfect for the beach.  I read the first three and can't wait to read The Fame Game.
Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart
Summer at Tiffany is probably my favorite book.  It's a memoir about two women, Marjorie and Marty who work at Tiffany in Manhattan for the Summer in 1945.  The story is just really touching.  I also really love learning about how New York City was years ago.  I read this book again every summer.

Pretty Little Liars  by Sara Shepard
I started reading this series in the seventh grade - three years ago.  From then I've read every single one.  They are just the kind of book that you can't put down.  I also love love love the TV show on ABC Family.  They are another quick, easy read that are perfect for summer.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Lastly, if you haven't read The Hunger Games trilogy yet, then you have to this summer! The first book starts out really slow, but it gets really good - to the point that you can't put it down!
Plus...
My Summer Reading List!
Here are just a few books I plan on reading this summer!
- The Fame Game by Lauren Conrad
Her first three novels were good, hopefully this one will be too!
- Most Talkative by Andy Cohen
I love Andy Cohen - he is absolutely hilarious!  I heard this is a "laugh out loud" kind     of book and I'm really excited to read it!
- White Girl Problems by Babe Walker
Heard this was an absolute must read.  I have really high hopes for this one!

Fourth of July Food

One of the biggest reasons I always look forward to Fourth of July is for the fun BBQs with friends and family.  I love sitting outside, enjoying the weather and reminiscing about past times.  Whether you are hosting a BBQ at your house or going to one, these treats are sure to be a hit!
Berry Bites - a healthy treat!
Recipe via Lauren Conrad

Fruit and Brownie Kabobs - a cute (and easy!) treat to bring as desert.
Recipe via Mel's Kitchen Cafe

Spangled Sandwich Pops - looks really fun!  I definitely want to try these!

Have a Happy Fourth!

Favorite Beauty Products - Summer Edition

My beauty essentials are constantly changing with the weather and the condition of my skin.   In the summer I tend to wear less makeup because when I do wear a lot, it feels really heavy and melt off.  Here are my favorite beauty products for the summer!

1. Benefit Refined Finish Facial Polish - I love, love, love this exfoliator.  It's not too harsh, but works well enough to get the dry layer of skin off, leaving my face smooth.  I find that exfoliating during the summer is key (along with moisturizing!)
2. Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream - This cream is really moisturizing and works really well on my dry skin. [I also like using Neutrogena Daily Moisturizer with SPF 50 every morning!]
3. Benefit Foamingly Clean Facial Wash - I love the smell of this foaming face wash.  It does a great job of removing makeup.
4. Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm - (in Passion) The Revlon lip stains are my favorite drug store lip stains.  They last a really long time and this one comes with a moisturizing lip balm.
5. Maybelline Voum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara - A waterproof mascara in the summer time is a must for me.  I really like the volume this Maybelline mascara gives.  It also holds a curl very well.
6. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush - (in Candy Coral) - For starters the consistency of this formula is so unique!  It's a creme blush that comes in a soft bouncy form.  The color Candy Coral specifically is just beautiful!  It's an orangy-coral color and looks great with a tan.
7. Bare Escentuals BareMInerals Prime Time Foundation Primer - When I do wear foundation in the summer, applying a primer first is key.  It helps keep my foundation from melting off my face and allows my foundation to stay on all day.
8. Bare Escentuals BareMinerals Round the Clock Waterproof Eyeliner - (in Midnight) - One problem I have with eyeliner is that by the end of the day, I always end up with raccoon eyes.  I love this one because it's waterproof and stays on all day - eliminating the problem of raccoon eyes.
9. Benefit Hoola - This boxed powder has to be my favorite bronzer.  The color is universally flattering and adds the perfect amount of glowiness  to my face!
10. Bare Escentuals BareMinerals SPF 25 Mineral Veil - Last, but certainly not least, I always keep this product in my bag wherever I go during the summer.  I love the fact that it has SPF 25.  I use it to eliminate oily spots throughout the day and it works perfectly!

What are your summer beauty must-haves?
