New Spring Jewelry

I have been on a kind of jewelry kick for the past few weeks.  I love the affect jewelry can have on an outfit.  I literally have a list of more bracelets and necklaces that I'm planning on buying.  It's crazy.  Lately I've been loving layering jewelry and combining classic pieces with more edgy, trendy pieces.  Here are just a few things I've picked up recently!

This stretchy bracelet reminded me of something I would wear on a tropical island, far away from school, which is why I love it so much![countdown till summer = 56 days] The white makes this piece so summery.  Plus the white and gold combo is super chic.  I love throwing this on with a white button up blouse and other gold jewelry.

These two bracelets are perfect for layering with others.  I've recently become obsessed with skulls after finally saving enough for an Alexander McQueen scarf!
Buy: {pink skull}

I absolutely love this pearl bracelet my aunt gave me!  I love anything with pearls and the rhinestoned bead adds the perfect amount of sparkle.

This necklace reminded me of a House of Harlow necklace I saw a few months ago and almost bought.  Except this one was literally a fraction of the price at a local boutique and had a pop of color in the middle (which is very fitting for spring!)

Both of these pieces were purchased off shopbluevanilla.com.  I bought the red, white, and black zig-zag ring to wear with the pendant necklace above.  A leather bracelet has been something I've been wanting forever!  When I was in the city, I saw one a Henri Bendel for  $90.  The leather felt really cheap and the color was really dull.  However the red one above is super soft and the red is super vibrant - it's a great buy for $11!

This is probably my most worn piece since I bought it.  It literally goes with everything and makes every outfit feel complete. I have been obsessed with everything and anything monogrammed since.
Buy: {necklace}

This JewelMint purchase was probably the one I was most excited about!  I've been a member of JewelMint for a couple months now but never purchased anything.  When I got an email with an 80% off deal for first time customers I knew I had to buy something. I came across this black leather wrap bracelet and absolutely love the little studs and rhinestones on it.
Buy: {Jewelmint.com - 'All Wrapped Up Braclelet'}

Lastly, I bought these stack rings from Henri Bendel and honestly can't stop wearing them. I've never been a ring person but something about these I love!  I've never really seen anything like these before at stores.  I like that they are really trendy, but still classic enough that I will be able to wear them in a few years from now.

  What jewelry have you been wearing lately?

Coachella Style

Clock-wise: Alexa Chung, Hillary Kerr, Kate Moss, Kelly Osborne at Cochella 2011

  Coachella is probably the biggest music festival of the year.  It's also a huge fashion hotspot.  I always have admired the 'Coachella style' thats plastered all over fashion blogs about this time of year.  It's so interesting how some people put together outfits and mix and match pieces.  I'm really looking forward to see what everyone is going to wear this year!  So in the spirit of the festival, I thought I would share a little inspiration with some outfits!

Outfit 1 - This Coachella look is more safe played. One that can easily be pulled off by anyone.  I love the color of the crochet flats!  They are super girly and add a pop of color to the outfit!

Food&Fashion

  I saw these Dolce and Gabanna pasta earrings from their SS12 collection online and were immediately intrigued.  They kind of reminded me of the pasta jewelry I used to make and wear in pre-school!  I couldn't really imagine how anyone could make these work.  Nonetheless, they are defiantly different and interesting - perfect as any conversation starter!

They even make earrings with little onions on them!

Shop them here.

What do you think?  Would you wear these?

Spring 2012 Wishlist

Happy spring!  I'm so excited/slightly sad {but more excited!} to put away my thick sweaters and boots for the upcoming seasons!  This week has been super warm: high 70s, low 80s!  It's a huge jump from just being in the 50s, but much needed.  This spring, I'm looking forward to wearing bright colors as well as bringing out my favorite pastel colors.  The spring is the perfect time to experiment with color and wear one you usually wouldn't. And that is exactly what I'm coveting for spring: color!

1. Stella McCartney Long-Sleeve Minidress
2. Michael Michael Kors 'Ikat print silk-blend Pant'3. Topshop 'Squiggle Sequin Dress'
4. Sperry Top-Sider Authentic Original 2-Eye Boat Shoe in Twill in 'Neon Azaela'

5. NastyGal.com 'Eden Leather Sachel"
6. Dannijo 'Hixon Bib Necklace'
7. Sprout Watches Colorful Bracelet Watch in Green

What are you looking forward to most this spring?

Candies at Kohl's

  I've never really been one to find much a Kohls, but recently after seeing the Candie's ad in numerous magazines, I found some perfect pieces to add into any spring wardrobe!  I love Lea Michele as their new face.  She looks absolutely stunning in the ad, and I think, does a better job of wearing the clothes than Britney Spears.  These are a few of my favorite pieces from their spring collection!

The color-block combo of red and pink was huge on the spring runway!  This dress combines the two colors beautifully.

I absolutely love the print of this dress.  It's perfect for any getaway or even just those lazy days in the summer.  The only thing I would do is swap the belt.

There is nothing I love more than a black and white print.  These shorts are so adorable and will look great paired with a little touch of neon.

I love, love, love anything fringe!  This bathing suit is super cute and a steal compared to the L*Space version.

Although these shoes are a little crazy, I really love the color and print.  I saw a pair very, very similar at Steve Madden, and kind of fell in love with them.

Looking Forward to Spring!

  Literally all I have been doing has been looking at spring clothes.  The obsession I have with pastels right now is defiantly at an unhealthy level.  Stores are starting to lay out all their spring clothes and I honestly cannot get enough.  Looking at spring clothes has been my consuming my time for the past week.  Here are a few things that I will definitely be adding to my spring wardrobe!

1. Pastel colored denim (or basically anything pastel!)
    Pastels just scream spring to me.  I love this lilac pair from The Gap.  The lilac hugh  will soften any outfit, making it perfect for the beautiful upcoming months.

2.  Light wash cropped denim
  I love a laid-back look with light denim.  A light wash can definitely make an outfit look more casual.  I absolutely adore the length on this pair from Rag & Bone.  It would look amazing with a light sweater and some wedges!

3.  Neon Jewels
I've seriously been drooling over neon jewelry.  I'm usually not the one to wear neon; however I feel like a punch of bright color can make an outfit.  This necklace (which also comes in neon pink!) from Bauble Bar is just beyond words and needs to get into my life.

4. Pleated skirts
  Pleats are so feminine and pleated skirts are so ladylike.  I love this look with a white blouse and some heels.  I am crazy about this color blocked option from Aqua!

5. Crisp white blazers
I saw this Rag & Bone blazer online and immediately thought of so many things I could wear it with!  The beautiful ivory-cream color is perfect for spring to throw over a little dress or casually with jeans.

Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012 Collection

My favorite looks from the show.

  Roberto Cavalli has always been one of my favorite Italian designers.  I am an avid follower of his blog, and love him more and more every day.  He is extremely creative, knows how to make clothes that every woman wants, and his shows never disappoint.  He always leaves me in astonishment of how his ideas come together.  His fall collection was no exception.  The mix of patterns and textures came together in a way that if any other designer put them out, wouldn't work.  His collection had a very rock-in-roll, party scene kind of feel to it, which I absolutely adore.  From the sequins to the hems, every detail of his work in impeccable.  I loved the use of animal print and fur in this collection, as it complemented the bright colors.  In short, the collection was an alluring representation of who Roberto Cavalli is and what his brand stands for.
