NYFW Day 2: Thursday 9/6/13

Okay, day two of fashion week recap - here we go!

Zimmerman - I love the silhouette of the bottoms in these; especially the last two - the 'paper bag' bottoms are kind of amazing.

Carmen Marc Valvo - All I have to say about this these looks is look at that hair.  No me gusta.

Nicole Miller - Filled with lots of patterns and geometrical shapes, I found her collection very playful,  yet sophiciated.

Rebecca Minkoff - These outfits look effortless yet put together at the same time.

Peter Som - I loved how structured some of the pieces were like the boxy jacket and striped top.  I also really like his use of patterns and shapes.

Jason Wu - Jason never disappoints.  His collection was beautifully put together with minimalist aesthetic that is just perfection.

Luca Luca
I love this collection!  From the first look to the last, there were maybe two or three looks that I wouldn't wear!  The cuts were really cute and I loved the use of prints.  The floral print in the beginning is definitely my favorite.  I also really liked the streaks of color in the model's hair!  My favorite look in this show would probably have to be the zebra printed bandeau top with the little shorts and blue jacket, so adorable!

Jason Wu
Another amazing collection, was filled with bows, prints, and feathers!  I adored those little shorts and the bow tie collars and belts.  The color scheme in this collection was a little more muted than others but the details and cuts definitely made up for it!  This cobalt blue color seen in the printed dress blow is going to be really in for spring since it's been seen in so many collections so far this week.  My favorite look by far in this collection is the ensemble at the bottom with the pink peplum skirt!

Nicole Miller - RTW
The Nicole Miller ready to wear collection showcased dresses and separates with bold prints and bright colors.  It was defiantly one of the more fun shows.  I loved the geometric prints and color combinations.  The stripes were also one part of the show that I very much enjoyed!

Cynthia Rowley 

I really enjoyed this show!  I adored the cuts of the dresses.  The dresses and pants fit the models so perfectly.  The prints were really nice, and I absolutely loved the cutout details in some of the pieces.  I am definitely going to have to pick up something like it in the spring time!
